Boys & Girls Club of Eatonville

Another of last year’s award winning designs is the Joe R. Lee Boys & Girls Club, Eatonville, Florida, one of the images featured on our blog cover photo. Helping to rebuild the once vibrant Eatonville downtown area, it has become a hub of activity helping the youth of Eatonville. It received the AWARD OF MERIT, designed by Schenkelshultz of Orlando, Florida. The building is bright and lively, while dignified and graceful.

The independent Jury said: “Quite fresh for a community project Seems as though the building would have a presence on the street.”

Check here for the 2013 AIAOrlando award winners, just posted: We will feature them in depth in the coming months.
